Greetings!  If you are reading this, you are probably in the process of choosing a therapist to assist you on your healing journey.  All of us struggle at one time or another, and having a caring, non-judgmental person to help you through the tough times can be a lifesaver.   I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan,  and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I have a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) from Michigan State University. I also practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) a type of therapy for those who have experienced trauma or disturbing experiences that are interfering with present functioning.  I am trained in couple's therapy through the Gottman Institute (Gottman Level I).   I have received specialized training from the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), using the Patrick Carnes model, and I am a fully Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).  I treat both addicts and their partners with an equal share of compassion and accountability.  I see both individuals and couples in a welcoming, comfortable space in Grand Rapids,  MI at 2020 Raybrook St. SE,  Suite 102, Grand Rapids MI 49546.

My passion is to create a safe and comfortable environment for adolescents, men, women, and couples who are experiencing a variety of life challenges.  I speciaize in treating  trauma due to childhood sexual abuse, people struggling with sex addiction, problematic sexual behaviors,  and partners of sex addicts/compulsives.  I offer groups for partners of sex addicts so they don't feel like they are alone in their grief.   I participate with a limited number of health insurances, so please ask!  I am a proud provider of Give An Hour, and spend part of my time to helping veterans and their families cope with life's challenges, free of charge.  Please call me at 616-414-1589 to schedule a free 15-minute consultation by phone and get answers to any questions you may have.
