Greetings!  If you are reading this, you are probably in the process of choosing a therapist to assist you on your healing journey.  Some background information about my experience and qualifications:   I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan,  and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I have a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) from Michigan State University. I also practice EMDR, a type of counseling for those who have experienced trauma. I have received specialized training from the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), using the Patrick Carnes model, to become certified as a therapist specializing in sex addiction treatment (CSAT-C).  I see individuals and couples in a welcoming, comfortable space at The Octagon House, located at 3180 E. Paris SE, in Kentwood, Michigan. This octagonal-shaped building is on the historical register, and has a beautiful antique fireplace in our comfortable, welcoming waiting room.

My passion is to create a safe and comfortable environment for men and women who are experiencing a variety of life challenges.    I have a special interest in treating  trauma due to childhood sexual abuse,  depression, anxiety, people struggling with sex addiction,  and partners of sex addicts.  I also have experience working with Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).   I am also a proud provider of Give An Hour, and spend part of my time to helping veterans and their families cope with life challenges, free of charge.
